organized team sports has begun

Nolan and I went to the parent meeting for soccer at the YMCA. He was really excited but I think I might have been even more. When Nolan was getting dressed to go he said, "Dad, I'm going to be a soccer-aholic." When we got there he saw his friend Luke and they were both thrilled. We ended up inviting them over to play a little backyard soccer and cook some steaks on the grill. We played a dad vs. son game. They may have struggled a bit with their foot skills but after scoring they had their celebration down; high fives and all.

He will be practicing one day a week and his games are on Saturdays. This is the start to what I am sure is a long road to many practices and games, but I can't wait!

Fight Club

Nolan and Carson were play wrestling, but Karly thought it was no laughing matter.

Friday the 13th

The scariest thing about Friday the 13th was having 3 extra kids over.  Just kidding.  It was a blast!  The night was full of events.  Everything from playing hockey, cheerleading, making Valentine crafts, wresling, watching a movie and even hide-n-go seek.  Sorry Amy and Andy, while you were having a nice romantic evening out, your kids we beating up on each other.  Believe it or not there was not one tear shed.  Are we great babysitters or what...

Nolan's response to Jeff

If Jeff responds to this 2 year olds diss via blog, then he will have joined us in the blog community and either consider himself a looser or take back his inacurate judgement on a very popular world. If he doesn't respond then he will have been outdone by a 2 year old...what will Jeff do???

See the video Nolan is responding too by clicking here: Amy's Blog

Flashes of Beantown

A huge thanks to Dustin and Audra for being the great hosts and friends that they are. We will never forget our wonderful stay at the Faust home in Boston.

Buddies

Nolan was again invited to his friend Luke's. It was a trip to remember. Swimming in the hot tub, grilled hotdogs and steak, sliding down the homemade water slide and cuddling up to watch a movie. F.Y.I. Jamie and I did all except the cuddling. As you can see I also got to feed Lidia. She is precious!

Nolan's Uncle Patrick and Aunt Brittany got a new puppy named Rawling. Nolan is a little ruff with her but they get along pretty well.

are we going to a baseball game daddy?

Nolan asked me that question at least 5 times a day for a week. Finally I was able to answer yes when I woke him up this morning. After dressing him in his Red Sox jersey and gather two baseball gloves; one for him and one for his friend Luke, we were off to DT OKC for a minor league game. The weather was perfect, the boys were extatic, Luke's dad Jamie and I were off work on a Monday...what a day.

big brother meet little sister

Bethany and I are not expecting another yet, but when and if we do, I hope Nolan is half as excited as Luke was when Lydia came along. I have a link to the Stiegelmeyer's website but I had to display this awesome video right here.
